Tyler Boebert Gets 20 Days and Work Release After Child-Neglect Plea

Tyler Boebert was sentenced Friday to 20 days in jail with work release after pleading guilty to child abuse and neglect, TMZ reported. The Colorado case grew out of incidents in which his young son was found wandering outside, including near Rep. Lauren Boebert's home.

Prosecutors had floated a cap of 30 days and probation, plus a parenting program, when the plea was first described in August. The judge landed at 20 days with work release. Lauren Boebert spoke in court and asked for mercy, saying mercy was the difference between correcting a father and taking him from his son.
