TheWrap: Charli xcx Boards Martin Scorsese's What Happens at Night

A cameo with company

Charli xcx has joined the cast of Martin Scorsese's What Happens at Night, TheWrap reported, in a cameo rather than a main role. Leonardo DiCaprio and Jennifer Lawrence lead the film, with Mads Mikkelsen, Patricia Clarkson and Jared Harris also aboard.

Why editors picked it up

The film adapts Peter Cameron's 2020 novel about an American couple who travel to a snowy European town to adopt a baby, and it has been described as a Gothic psychological horror. It is Scorsese's first narrative feature since Killers of the Flower Moon in 2023.

What is still unknown

TheWrap said her role has not been described beyond the word cameo. No release date was mentioned.
