Rolling Stone: U2 Sets a 2027 World Tour Ahead of Its New Album Carnaval de Luz

A tour named after a single

U2 has announced The Greatest Show on Earth World Tour for 2027, Rolling Stone reported, naming it after the newest single from its upcoming album Carnaval de Luz. The album is due November 13, and the tour opens in February 2027 in Mexico City, followed by São Paulo and Buenos Aires.

Why the rollout gets attention

The single follows "Silencio" and "Street of Dreams," and its video was directed by longtime collaborator Anton Corbijn in the California desert. Bono told Rolling Stone it is his favorite song on the record. Tying the tour name to a single gives the whole album campaign one headline to carry.

What is still to come

Only the South American opening dates are public so far. Rolling Stone said North American and European dates are forthcoming, so cities, venues and on-sale details for those legs are not yet known.
