Halle Bailey has been granted a restraining order against her ex-boyfriend, rapper and YouTuber DDG, after alleging multiple instances of abuse. Court documents filed on May 13 detail Bailey’s claims that DDG physically assaulted her on several occasions, including an incident in January when she says he slammed her face into a steering wheel, chipping her tooth.
Bailey, 25, and DDG, 27, share a one-year-old son, Halo. According to the filing, the alleged abuse began earlier this year when DDG arrived to pick up their child. Bailey claims that as she was securing Halo in his car seat, DDG became aggressive, yelling at her to leave his vehicle. She alleges that the situation escalated into a physical altercation, during which he pulled her hair and slammed her face into the steering wheel.
In March, Bailey says DDG entered her home without permission and sent her a photo of her empty bed with a message implying she was seeing other men. Days later, she claims he returned to her house, smashed her Ring camera, and took her phone before throwing it out of his car window.
Bailey filed a police report and requested court-ordered protection, which was granted. The restraining order requires DDG to stay at least 100 yards away from Bailey and their son. Additionally, Bailey has been given permission to take Halo with her to Italy, where she will be filming a movie.
DDG has not publicly responded to the allegations. Fans have taken to social media to express support for Bailey, with many calling for accountability.
